I’m so excited! The Althea Makeup line is now available for everyone to enjoy! And being an Althea Angel, it is one of the perks for me to try everything before it goes out on the Althea Korea website or at least be able to get first dibs about the new products. I feel so blessed! hahaha!😂😂😂
I’ve been using products from the Althea line which started with the Petal Velvet Powder, then thier very own cleansers, perfume, up to the Pore Essentials(my most favorite). I must say that I love ALL of it. I’m not brownnosing, but it is true. Suits my skin well.
Now with their makeup line, I really can’t wait to share with you guys my thoughts and actual application. Can’t wait to tell you which are my faves. So here it goes.
Althea Skin Relief Spot Film Gel
Due to exposure to dirt, smoke and other impurities, pimple breakout tends to surface especially on acne-prone areas. And and when you have a pimple, it’s kinda hard to treat it if you are always puting your makeup on.
From its gel form, Althea Skin Relief Spot Film Gel, creates a thin layer of film which helps treat and soothe acne. Thanks to its natural contents like tea tree oil which is known for acne treatment, Centella Asiatica extract and Pinus Thunberg Leaf extract that can soothe irritations as it nourish and revitalize the skin. It also contains Niacinamide which can brighten the skin(less pimple marks!) and strengthen the outer skin barrier.
HOW TO USE:(Source: Althea Korea Website)
- Apply a thin layer onto targeted areas and allow it to dry for approximately 5 minutes.
- Ensure the patch is completely dry before applying makeup on top of it.
I already used this acne spot treatment. Unfortunately, I do not share other users’ experience that they can use makeup on top of it. I am pretty sure I let it dried first before applying my foundation, but this happened. I don’t know, maybe I did it wrong. Maybe I put too much gel. But for now, I will just use it on times that I will not wear make up. Will include it on my night time beauty routine. 😊

Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer
My face is not that flawless(spell B-L-E-M-I-S-H-E-S!), that is why I badly need a concealer that can hide the blemishes away. Thanks to Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer which is available in 4 shades: #1 Vanilla, #2 Ginger, #3 Honey, #4 Mocha. It has a creamy texture with a buildable formula that is made with Aquaxyl to moisturize and improve the skin.
If you will look at the photo above, I used the #3 Honey shade on my face to cover the dark circle under my eyes. I also put some on my forehead, cheeks. chin. I love it that it’s so easy to blend(i used a beauty sponge to blend the product). It has minimal scent which is very nice, because I don’t want makeups with strong scents.
When being applied, it can do medium/semi-matte coverage and thank God it is not one of the products that oxidize on my face after some time(my face is quite oily and acidic, so some concealer and foundation brands tend to make my face look darker than normal).

BCLxAlthea Sunrise Moonrise Eye Palette
Another collaboration with Indonesian singer and actress, Bunga Cintra Lestari, another amazing product. The AltheaxBCL Sunrise Moonrise Eye Palette can give you different looks that you can wear for daytime activities and night life. It features 8 pigmented shades(it’s really pigmented guys!)-Sunrise shades upper four, Moonrise shades lower four.
When I first saw the color selection- that it has glitters/shimmers, I fell in love with it. I love everything that shimmers and that includes makeup. Going back, I’m the type of person who loves wearing night look even on daytime, that is why I chose the moonrise shades.
After applying my usual foundation, I applied each shades starting from #5 up to #8-You may use an eye makeup brush or just your fingers. I used #5 as base on the lids, then #6 on the crease area up to upper lash line and lower lash line, #7 on my browbone. Lastly, I used shade #8 at the outer corner of my eyes and blended it towards my mid lids. Just to add more shimmer, I decided to use shade #4 on my mid lids for more striking look.
Tip: You may ude shade #4 and 8 as highlighters. ❤️❤️❤️
Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter
It’s raining glitters on Althea Makeup, now with Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter. These two gorgeous sparkles come in 2 shades: #1 Gold Light, #2 Pink Light. These eye glitters are made with a moisturizing gel matrix that can give eyes a sparkling touch.
❤️❤️❤️ love the applicator!. It is so slim which makes it so easy and precise to apply the eye glitter. I find it very economical in the long run, since it is long wearing and adheres to skin very well. There’s no need to re-apply from time to time.
Both shades can be used as an eyeshadow, it can serve as an eyeliner too. Oh! and even as a highlighter! But to this makeup look, I applied it on my tearduct area. Maybe on my next make up look I’ll use it as a liner or include it as eyeshadow.
- Apply onto the lids using the applicator
- Gently pat in to blend and wait for 3-5 seconds to dry
- Apply onto the bottom lash line for Aegyosal style makeup
- Blend out with a finger or a cotton bud and wait for 3-5 seconds to dry

Althea Watercolor Cream Tint
OMG! I super love Althea Watercolor Cream Tint! Moisturizing, Long-Lasting, Pigmented.
Moisturizing: Unlike some lippies that makes my lips dry, chapped, and flaking, these watercolor tints on the other hand give a soft finish(hyaluronic acid and squalene are working well together, plus, it is formulated with both water and oil, this emulsion type tine consists of 40% hydrating solution.)-and does not give a heavy, sticky feeling while wearing it. Super nice. From a creamy form, it then melts on my lips giving it a different look few minutes after application. See Photo above.
Pigmented and Long-Lasting: Yes! these lippies are very pigmented! I even had a hard time removing it with soap and even a toner. It does stain which I like because it gives me a naturally red-looking lips . Though all of the colors are into the red tones(I like shade #3 Peach Cream, and #4 Marron Cream), I hope Althea will come up with nude shades as well in the near future. Please please please!
Althea Watercolor Cream Tint which is available in 4 Bold colors: #1 Plum Cream, #2 Strawberry Cream, #3 Peach Cream, #4 Marron Cream.
Tip: Forgot to bring your blush? You may also use the cream tint as your cheek tint. If you want to achieve that drunk blush effect. Just don’t put too much on alright? like I said, it is highly pigmented. You don’t want to look that you’ve just been slapped right? Just a few dabs will do.😉
Price: Set (10% OFF) ₱940 or ₱260 per piece(4.5ml)
So what do you think? Overall, As a simple everyday makeup type of a woman, the newly released Althea Makeup line surpassed my expectations. I love how practical they are because lots of them can do more than their intended function. Eyeshadow can be used as highlighter and contour, eye glitter which can be used as eyeliner and highlighter as well, cream tints that can be used as cheek tint. So functional right? ❤️❤️❤️ So worth it and definitely worth buying!
