It was a different birthday celebration for me last October 24, 2015 when I joined other bloggers for an outdoor adventure at Kampo Trexo, Cavite. With only a few hours of sleep and knowing that the challenges will be physical and heavy, I still gave it a try. Well, I’m kinda competitive for this kind of activity so I said to myself “I can do this… I will enjoy this day!”.
When we arrived at Kampo Trexo, heavy breakfast were served. We really need to eat, because a lot of our energy will be needed for the day!. For real!
Each bloggers were given adventure kit that is essential as we go along with the challenges.
We were divided into 4 groups, Team Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue. Know each group as you read below:
The challenging adventure started with a cheering competition. Hahaha! Oh my!. Seeing my fellow bloggers doing their cheering routine was really funny and enjoyable.vIn fact all of us were really funny. Forget the awkwardness, the shame, even if we look foolish, we still did it and it was really fun! Good job guys.
And the REAL challenge is on!… Look! First Challenge… Rapelling and Wall climbing. Oh no! My fear of heights is on high level. Red alert! red alert! You know the fear and risk of falling and worse dying! waaaah!
But thank God, Pioneer got my back. We often hold back and worry about safety and risks. Now, everything will change. Pioneer, one of the top five companies that offer non-life insurance coverage has been in the business for over half a century and has helped millions of Filipinos become financially prepared for the unexpected. Got their Travel Buddy Adventure insurance package and now I am insured!. It is my first time to encounter an insurance company that covers adventurous activities. Well, doing extreme sports and activities will always put you on high risk for accidents and even death. That’s the very reason other insurance companies won’t cover their members for such activities. Pioneer Travel Buddy Adventure Insurance offers the opposite.
- For ONLY Php 200, get insurance package that covers you for 30 days regardless of how many trips you take.
- Covers adventurous activities/hobbies like bungee jumping, white-water rafting, and etc.
- Entitled up to a maximum benefit of PhP100,000.
So here’s the complete list of activities covered by Pioneer Travel Buddy Adventure:
I also got Pioneer’s MediCash Dengue Insurance. According to news reports, Dengue fever is considered one of the deadliest seasonal diseases that hit the Philippines every year. In fact, in 2014, the World Health Organization has recorded almost 60,000 Dengue cases in the country. While this figure may be lower compared to the 300,000 cases documented in 2012, this epidemic still persists to this day, as 92,000 Dengue cases were recorded from January to September of this year.
Pioneer has you covered against this disease with MediCash Dengue Insurance, which is also available on InsureShop for P350. This plan provides one-year coverage with P10,000 cash assistance upon diagnosis of Dengue for individuals from 1 to 70 years old. Again, It’s my first time to encounter such kind of insurance. Since the place has lots of trees and plants, insects are flying everywhere. Mosquitos are also present which can put you at risk of having Dengue. Well, I don’t need to worry anymore since I am insured.
More coverage such as MediCash Leptospirosis Insurance and Travel Buddy are available at Pioneer’s InsureShop, which provides easy-to-access insurance coverages that you can get yourself, your loved ones, and even your prized possessions so you can live our life without worries. So back to our adventure… As for me, conquered my fear of heights and did it. It was really hard for me since I have phobia but I survived the first challenge! Some gave up but most of us finished.
Moving on… The second challenge is a series of obstacles that really tested our endurance, speed and strength. whew! But then again we finished all the obstacles. Horaaaay!
And so after finishing all these challenging obstacles… Time to eat! We are all starving! Woot! Boodle fight! YUM YUM!
After a very satisfying lunch, we then headed to another challenge. This time it’s not so tiring anymore. Chill chill…
We just did a nature walk and then crossed this hanging bridge(waaaaah!), go to the other side and find our team’s flag. As we walk along… found our flag.
On the other side, here’s what we discovered. Hahahaha! the final challenge. But this time, only the chosen representative of each team will do it.
Meet the brave and gorgeous reps of each team… 🙂
To go back to the other side, each of us enjoyed a zipline ride. Wohooooo! It’s been a while since the last time I did this. Scary but it felt so liberating.
