So, I was one of the luck few who were able to try the realme 9 Pro 5G first-hand before it was officially launched here in the Philippines. I’ve been using it for a while now and I must say that i’m enjoying it so far. The camera, the watching and gaming experience, battery life and more.

So I want to share with you my top 5 favorite features of realme 9 Pro 5G based on my actual usage and experience. Here they are…
1.LIGHT SHIFT/PHOTOCHROMISM DESIGN
Aside from the functionality, one of the selling points that other consumers are considering when buying a smartphone is the color and design. With the realme 9 Pro 5G’s Light Shift and first-ever Photochromism design, everyone will definitely give this phone’s design a second look. I really love how the color shifts from bluish glittery color when indoors, to that purplish and reddish color tones under direct sunlight which gives the 9 Pro a premium and modern look. TIP: I suggest you just use a clear casing, so you can still appreciate the beauty of the design.
2. SCREEN SIZE AND REFRESH RATE
Do you love watching movies, browsing social media, or playing mobile games? You’ll definitely enjoy it more with realme 9 Pro’s 6.6-inch screen with 90.8% Screen-to-body ratio. It has 2400 x 1080 Full High Definition LCD resolution display which to my observation has bluish hue and is a bit less vibrant compared to AMOLED screens. But you know what? Surprisingly, I find it less straining to the eyes which I think is good.
Browsing is breezy and smooth made possible by the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate. The refresh rate also automatically adjust among six refresh rates (30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz)based on the user’s on-screen content. That’s why browsing or scrolling through web pages and social media feels more instant and responsive.
3. CAMERA(Street Photography 2.0)
Since people nowadays loves taking photos and capturing moments, camera quality is a big decision factor to consider as well when buying a smartphone especially if it is packed with cool camera features. There’s no doubt that realme 9 Pro 5G’s camera can take nice quality, social-media worthy photos.
Aside from the 64MP Nightscape rear camera, you’ll definitely love realme 9 Pro rear camera’s Street Photography 2.0. Shoot like a pro and take long exposure shots without the need to set up confusing settings. With this mode, just point and shoot. That’s it. You may also tweak the long exposure time according to your preference.
The treet Photography 2.0. is available in four different settings (Neon Trail, Light Trail Portrait, Rush Hour, and Light Painting). With this mode, you can shoot and adjust to different focal lengths such as 50mm, 24mm, and 16mm. Different filters are also available under this mode.Check out sample photos below.

Take as many selfies as you want and make it more appealing with different built-in filters available using the 16MP front-facing camera. It also has Beautification mode which can enhance your face features and will make your skin look flawless. When you use the Portrait Mode, it can give your selfie background a blurry or bokeh effect. Check out the sample photos below.
4. GAMING PERFORMANCE
I love playing Mobile Legends, so I immediately installed it to my realme 9 Pro to put it to test. I set the graphic settings to max. HIGH refresh rate, ULTRA graphics, I even have several apps running in the background. My question were… Will it lag? Will it crash? Would there be skip frames? No. None, nada. . The Mobile Legends app ran smoothly on high graphic settings. Thanks to the high-powered Snapdragon 695 5G octa-core processor, partnered with the Adreno 619 GPU.
Phone is not that heaty as well because it is equipped with a Liquid Cooling System for sustained core peak performance, making it work harder for longer.

So if you are into gaming, the realme 9 Pro could handle the job, even if you multi-task.
5. BATTERY
When you are a gamer like me or just simply someone who likes to multi-task on their phone, the realme 9 Pro is a smartphone to consider as it is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For normal usage like browsing social media, watching a few movies and minimal gaming battery will last for almost a day(about 20-21 hours). The battery life will also depend if you go on full brightness for the screen, high volume level and other battery-draining mobile activities.
Charging the device is such a breeze as the 33W charger takes about 1 hour and 16 mins or a little less than that to fully charge the device(1% to 100%).
