For months now, I’ve been using my Paymaya card’s beep function which has been very beneficial whenever I travel in the metro via P2P bus, MRT, both LRT 1 and 2, and even airport shuttle buses. No more hassle for me to fall in line in the station whenever I ran out of load balance. That’s because I always load up to the nearest Robinson’s Department Stores, SM Business Center, 7-eleven, Smart Padala Center and other Paymaya loading stations which are much safer and reliable.
And for the first time, I was able to use the other function of my card which is…cashless shopping!, and this happened at the Clic! In Motion Bazzar last Sept 30, 2016 at The Blue Leaf in Taguig.
Clic! In Motion Bazzar is a one day bazzar featuring fitness, dance, and fashion all in one place! How cool is that!
Paymaya also had a one day promo where they offer FREE personalized Paymaya card to the first 100 shoppers. Shoppers should load up a minimum of 100 pesos(or more) and they are good to go.
So let the shopping begin! I admit, retail therapy is one of my guilty pleasures. But I don’t splurge, thankfully I’m not a shopaholic yet hahaha! Well moving on, loaded up my Paymaya card via money transfer with Php1,000 pesos. The balance transfer was really fast and real-time which reflected on my Paymaya app account. What I like about it is that you can see the one who sends you the money. Just make sure that you have a decent internet connection to log in.
So after deciding what to buy, the merchant accompanied me to this booth for payment. Of course I used my Paymaya Php1000 load to purchase the items. The cashless payment transaction was really fast and smooth! I’ve got the brown bag(the one i’m holding in the previous photo), another small bag and a long-sleeved cardigan.
This is awesome. After using my card to purchase, Paymaya sent me text notifications on my registered mobile number regarding my transactions, which also reflected in the Paymaya app.
I’m a happy Paymaya shopper! I would definitely use my card more often for cashless transactions especially whenever I pay for my utility bills(check the list of utility companies at Paymaya website). At least like what I have said earlier, it is much safer because I don’t need to withdraw and bring cash on hand or use up the credit limit of my credit card.
Just a thought. I believe you can also use Paymaya to teach your friends or loved ones to spend wisely. How? For example, I want to shop, instead of loading my card a very significant amount(You can load up to P50,000 per month) I will set my spending limit and will just load up my desired shopping budget. And then when I consumed all or bought already the things that I need, I’ll stop. It can really teach good spending habits.
