THE REVIEW:
The Place: It’s a 2 storey establishment located at 2/F Eastwood City Walk 2, LibisQuezon City. The place is simple, I would say fitted for the masses. The place is clean, well ventilated, well lighted and well maintained.
The Service: They have friendly staffs. Food service is fast.
The Food: Razon’s of Guagua Eastwood branch served us 10 of their food selections namely:
CHICARON WITH ATCHARA-The chicharon is very crispy. I don’t eat atchara, but when I tasted Razon’s atchara now I can say I can eat atchara already hahahah! The taste of their atchara is very delicious. The combination of sour and sweet blends well in your palate. When you eat the chicharon with the atchara it taste good as well. A good combination.
PANCIT LULUG- I love pancit, Specially the ones with the big noodles like pancit malabon which made me love the pancit Luglug of Raon’s. I love how they cook their pancit Luglug. The sauce texture and consistency is good, the taste is good as well not too bland and not too salty.
PUTO WITH DINUGUAN- I’ve always want to try to eat dinuguan with puto because lots of people said that it is a good combination. Razon’s Dinuguan taste good, and their puto is very soft. I tried eating the dinuguan and puto together… hmmm I think I like to eat it separately… hahahhaahah! Well, I like it more if I will eat the dinuguan as my ulam hehehhe.
SIZZLING BULALO- whew! The sizzling bulalo… when I tasted this, it has the reseblance with the taste of lamb meat. The gravy is creamy and blends well with the bulalo.
PORK SISIG- I love sisig! But since I am watching my diet now, I just had a few bites on this. It’s not that crunchy but the taste is good. They said it was really made more as “ulam” than as a “pulutan”.
CHICKEN/PORK ASADO- I think it’s a tomato based dish, It is not sweet like other asado dishes.but still it is delicious. Very well cooked. You can easily slice the meat of the pork without so much effort, well the chicken meat is soft as well. The sauce was well absorbed by the pork and chicken that makes it tasty.
LECHON KAWALI- I like how they cook this dish. The skin part is crispy but the meat part is not dry or overcooked. They also chose the pork with less fat. Taste good when being dipped with the vinegar.
ARROZCALDO- The taste is simple. Not too salty not too bland. While eating this I got the taste resembling to the taste of oatmeal. But still taste good.
SYLVANAS- I love desserts! I love sylvanas, The sweet taste is just right. Love it! Eat this few minutes after been taken out of the refrigerator so that you will not have a hard time eating it.
ENSAYMADA BITES– I like Razon’s ensaymayda bites. It is freshly baked, very soft, yummy!
HALO-HALO–and finally… the famous halo-halo of Razon’s. Unlike other Halo-halo that have lots of ingredients, Razon’s halo-halo only has 4. The macapuno, saging na saba, evaporated milk and leche flan. What I love about their halo-halo aside from the taste is how they crush their ice. It is crushed very differently. The bits of the ice is very fine you wouldn’t have a hard time mixing it together with other ingredients. And what’s amazing with their halo-halo is even when it melts you just put it to the freezer to freeze it and the ice will go back to its original state. Cool right?
Me eating Razon’s famous and delicious Halo-halo
