If you are looking for a place with good food and a cozy ambience to hangout with friends , then you might want to consider this place at Capitol Commons, Pasig City… TIPSY PIG GASTROPUB.
Tipsy Pig GastroPub is a Restaurant/Pub kind of place where you can enjoy dining early in the evening and wait ’til clock strikes 10pm, with dimmed lights and fancy music, to turn your dining place to a bar.
TIP: It is better for you to make reservations because the place is packed with people especially during weekends.
I love the set up of this place.
The wood material and design gives the place an elegant look. The ambiance is really great and very cozy.
There’s a bar where you can hang around and order drinks with friends. The place is popular for its signature drinks. Might as well try it for yourself.
Upstairs, are more tables to accommodate more customers. There’s also a private function room with Videoke at the same level, with a provision of widescreen TV and music player to stretch those vocal chords with companions.
Since we don’t have any idea on what’s good to eat at Tipsy Pig, so we asked the waitress to serve us some of Tipsy Pig’s best-sellers.
The Dirty Mexican – Php 360
(Nachos overloaded with 3 kinds of cheese, beef, pulled pork, jalapeno, pio de gallo and sour cream.)
I love Tipsy Pig’s The Dirty Mexican. They really have a big serving of this dish as in BIG SERVING – believe me. Enough for 4-5 people to enjoy The Dirty Mexican.
If you are going to eat this dish alone, for sure you will end up having leftovers. I have seen and tasted nachos from other restos, sadly, they all look the same. But The Dirty Mexican of Tipsy Pig Gastropub is different, by far, the BEST!
You will definitely enjoy the ingredients even underneath each nacho chip. The combination of all the ingredients compliment each other. The Mexican-inspired taste is there, nacho chips are crispy. It is a must-try whether as appetizer, snack or partner with beer!
Belly Good Sisig Tacos – Php 280
(Perfectly cooked crispy pork bellymade to a local favorite sisig, wrapped in tortilla with asian soy garlic.)
It was my first time to try this dish and I love every bite of it. The sisig itself is crunchy and tasty and the asian soy garlic blends well with the crispy pork. Really yummy!
The Number 4 -Php 525
(Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone and Parmesan)
If you are a pizza lover then this four cheese pizza is a must try for you. When I tasted this, the taste of tomato sauce is very prominent seperating itself from the cheese toppings.
Vineyard Pizza -Php 470
(Roasted garlic spread , tomato confit, pancetta, Mozzarella, grapes and freh basil.)
When we saw this pizza, me and my friends were amazed! The presentation is really nice. But wait until you take a bite on this well presented dish. The dough is really soft and chewy. The toppings have this different taste that will surely entice your taste buds more.
Shrimp Popcorn- Php450
(Freshly popped beer battered shrimps)
Shrimps are one of my favorites. But this dish brought my fondness to shrips (and seafood) to even greater heights. The crispness of the breading plus the fantastic taste of the cheese toppings give this dish a different twist.
Rigatoni Pasta w/ Spicy Shrimp – Php 260
(Rigatoni, beurre blanc, tomato confit and chili marinated shrimp.)
The way the pasta was cooked was excellent. The pasta was firm and not overcooked. The sauce has this creamy taste of shrimp. It’s kinda bland but very delicious. It is not that spicy as well.
The Flaming Wings – Php 295
(Crispy fried wings, overdose with homemade buffalo sauce and Bleu cheese dip)
This dish is epic – spicy classic, indeed. The Flaming Wings made me go down, dirty – (hahaha). Forced me to eat those really hot wings with my bare hands. Savoring the crispy chicken wings smothered with buffalo sauce and dipped on Bleu cheese dip. Definitely a good dish.
Tipsy’s Boneless Crispy Pata – Php 770
(Boneless crispy pata, fried garlic chips, asian soy garlic, and a homemade dipping sauce)
This all time favorite pulutan is really a must try at Tipsy Pig Gastropub.
The skin is really crispy and the fat portions beneath the skin are thin. The meat parts are so tender, it made it easier to chew. Personally, I prefer the original homemade dipping sauce than the asian soy garlic sauce.
Ribeye 11 – Php 1320
(11 ounces of grilled Wet-aged Ribeye, peppercorn jus, chili cherry tomtoes, a choice of mashed potatoes or crispy fries.)
For steak lovers out there, this dish is for you. The meat is well grilled. The steak was so soft that I didn’t need a knife to actually slice it. It is best to eat it with mashed potato.
Beer Can Chicken- Php 750
(Roasted whole chicken, a can of pale pilsen, grilled tortillas and BBQ sauce.)
This is one of the signature dishes of Tipsy Pig Gastropub. Two thumbs up for the presentation. It is very enticing to eat. To eat this, you can ask for the help of the server to slice the chicken for you. then you can place it on the grilled tortilla bread put bbq sauce then wrap it.
You can also eat it without the tortilla bread if you prefer it that way. The chicken was properly roasted, juicy chicken lean. The skin of the chicken is well marinated, you can actually taste the spices used. You must try and experience eating this.
Flavored Beers Php 110 (regular) Php 285 (Jumbo)
Tipsy Pig Gastropub is very known for its signature brews and its flavored beers. They have Salted caramel, Raspberry, Hazelnut, Passion Fruit, Green Apple. The Peach and Cerveza 43 are priced at Php150(reg) /Php390(jumbo)
Ron-dezvous- Php 260,
(Absolut Vodka, Apple Juice, Tonic Water.)
Wasn’t able to taste this one, and I really can’t because I’m allergic to any kind of liquor. By the looks of it, It taste good. hehehe 🙂
Fresh Fruit Shakes and other refreshments are also available just in case you don’t want to drink liquor containing beverages.
