“Story about Life” I believe is the very core of Gloc-9′ music. That is why many of his fans and listeners can really relate to his songs. Gloc-9 created songs which touches human situations and experiences from all walks of life.

From his last album “Talumpati” released year 2011, Gloc-9 again broke sales records when he launched his newest album “Mga Kwento Ng Makata (MKNM)” .

“I have worked very hard for this album. Before I would record albums for about 2 months. For MKNM: Mga Kwento ng Makata, it took me around 6 months”-says Gloc-9 .

MKNM, upon its release, immediately topped the albums and singles chart of downloading site, www.mymusicstore.com.ph.

Gloc-9 adds that he is ultimately satisfied with MKNM, which includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry – Chito Miranda, Bamboo, Ebe Dancel, Jay Durias, Billy Crawford, Maychelle Baay of Moonstar 88, among others.

“Sobrang laking tulong sa akin. Unang-una nai-introduce ako sa market nila. Pangalawa, nai-imerse ako sa music na ginagawa nila and nakaktulong sakin ‘yun in terms of writing my own music din. Pangatlo, ‘yung marketing effort na gagwin sa kantang nag-collaborate kami malaking tulong kasi damay na rin ako du’n. I’m thankful kasi ‘yung mga collaborations ko with other artists and bands,isa ‘yun sa mga reasons kung bakit okay ako nagyon”- Gloc-9 said.

Gloc-9 admits being super proud of the album’s single Sirena, which talks about the story of a responsible gay man. The song also features Ebe Dancel. Now, it is over 2 million views in YouTube.

“I think this is the first time that a song about a gay man is presented in a first person’s point of view,” explains Gloc-9. “I worked very hard on this song for it not to be offending to anyone.”-says Gloc-9

The rapper also adds that MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata marks a new chapter in his career as this is his first release under Universal Records, where he joins its elite roster of artists like Gary Valenciano, Jose Mari Chan, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Parokya Ni Edgar, Christian Bautista, Kamikazee, Sam Concepcion, among others.

“I am very thankful that Universal welcomed me into their stable,” concludes Gloc-9. “I am looking forward to doing more projects with my new label.”says Gloc-9
