It was a day of wellness, sportsmanship, camaraderie and fun as thousands of running enthusiast including students and teachers all over Batangas and Metro Manila ran for a cause at the Karipasan 2015: The 7th Batangas Run for Wellness which was held in front of Lima Park Pavilion inside Lima Technology Center in Malvar, Batangas.
Karipasan 2015: The 7th Batangas Run for Wellness was organized by First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities(FAITH) and Lima Park Hotel to manifest the institute’s commitment to community-building and at the same time for Lima Park Hotel to promote sports and wellness tourism as part of Bisita Batangas campaign.
Proceeds from this Karipasan 2015: The 7th Batangas Run for Wellness will go to Bato Balani Foundation Inc.’s education development program focused on teacher training, school and library assistance, scholarships and other special involvements to uplift Philippine education.
Before the race started, participants from the 3k, 5k and 10K category were asked to join the warm up exercises to stretch and pump up those idle muscles. Even before the warm up, you can already feel the high energy and excitement from the crowd.
Ofcourse, Rey of www.LifestyleBucket.com and I did not miss the chance to join this run for wellness. We only ran the 3K category since we did not get enough sleep the night before the race but we ‘re glad we were able to finish it.
There were also other fun events happened simultaneously during the run. The Zumba Marathon, which happened inside Lima Park Pavilion. Perfect for those who loves to dance, jive, sweat and burn some calories at the same time.
Another event was the Batangas Waiter’s Race, a mixed sprint and relay competition particiated by Hotel and Restaurant Management students and schools even professionals.
Karipasan 2015 is supported by First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities(FAITH), Lima Land Inc and the Municipality of Malvar.
