We go out just to buy the necessities, leisure travel is limited or prohibited to some places, malls hours are shortened, and a whole lot of the “new normal” practices. That being said, being stuck at home, it is natural as humans to feel bored. What can we do?
Here are 5 fun activities that you can do when you are bored at home:
1. DECLUTTER
With our busy schedule, we tend to lack time to clean the house from time to time. This leaves accumulation of random clutters that we should tidy up. To some, the idea of decluttering the house could be tiresome, but you can turn it into fun activity for the whole family.
Decluttering as a family activity might seem less fun than other home activities, but if you do it by heart, you will not only have a lot of fun, but also enjoy some sentimental moments with your family as you see things that will bring back some memories.
Decluttering your house means going through all the stuff and sort things that you don’t use anymore. If you are having a hard time choosing which one to keep and which one to give away, or throw away, take Marie Kondo’s advice… “The best way to choose what to keep and what to throw away is to take each item in one’s hand and ask: ‘Does this spark joy?’ If it does, keep it. If not, dispose of it. This is not only the simplest but also the most accurate yardstick by which to judge.”
