“The Philippine eSports scene is starting to get really exciting day-by-day. Few months ago, we partnered with the Professional Gamers’ League (PGL) in mounting the world’s biggest DOTA 2 tournament series in country which is the Manila Major. And look, here we are now creating our own incredible gaming tournaments that aims to empower rising talents and future eSports local superstars as early as today,” shares George Su, Country Manager of ASUS Philippines System Business Group.
ROG MASTERS strives to uncover rising talent in the Asian DOTA 2 and CS:GO scenes and bring it into the international spotlight. It might be a long shot for the Philippines, but when filipinos put their heart and soul to what they are doing, they can definitely win. Just like last year where Philippines landed on the 8th place out of the many countries who joined the tournament.
Going back to the event, DOTA 2 and CS:GO players and enthusiasts just filled up the place in support of their favorite team. Other gamers also enjoyed different games using ROG Laptops and desktops, plus they got the chance to win awsome prizes from ASUS if they completed the raffle stub given to them upon registration.
For CS:GO it was a great battle between Team Mineski and Imperium Pro Team. On the other hand, for DOTA 2, it was Team TNC (The Net . Com) vs. Team Mineski. So who won at the ROG Masters Philippine Finals? CONGRATULATIONS Team Mineski as they bagged the championship belt for CS:GO. Meanwhile Team TNC claimed the crown for DOTA 2.
Both teams will fight at the ROG Masters grand finals which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 12-13, 2016. Good luck guys!
