I’ve been seeing a lot of skin regimen products that are using exotic ingredients such as Pearl, Hibiscus, Diamonds, Grapeseed, Ginseng, Seaweeds, Snail, Coconut oil and can you believe it? GOLD!. Whoah! I always think of gold as a metal in the periodic table, or part of my accessories that I can wear. But for a skin regimen? Hmmmm… Interesting! 
So just recently, Althea Korea sent me this product to try… the PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask by Esthetic Cosmetics. By the way, Althea Korea’s Christmas Box is soooo pretty! I love it!. 
KEY INGREDIENTS
- 24k Gold – purifies the skin and improves circulation.
- Snail extract – moisturizes and encourages the regeneration of skin cells to lighten scars and smoothen the skin
- Seaweed extract – rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants to protect the skin from environmental pollutants.
- White Willow Leaf extract – calms the skin, gives elasticity and pore convergence.
- Jojoba Seed Oil – reduces irritated skin and promotes natural production of collagen. It also protects skin from the sun and reduces signs of premature aging such as wrinkles and fine lines.
- Other ingredients: Purified water, polyvinyl alcohol, butylene glycol, ethanol, mica, polyurethane, glycerin, acetyl ethyhexanoate, dipropylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, propanediol, anise fruit extract, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, dimethicone, polyglutamic acid, tocopheryl acetate, sodium, phenoxyethanol, gold, snail mucin, white persimmon leaf extract.

Going back, PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask’s packaging is nice and simple. Comes with a glossy black box with shiny gold characters that glistens when light hits it. Check out my IG post. 
The black jar itself contains PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask’s logo which is also visible on the box packaging. It also comes with a plastic applicator that you can use to apply the cream mask. But if you have your own mask brush applicator, you may use it as well. I find it kinda hard to use the plastic applicator since it only covered a small and very limited scope. I need to stroke several times to spread the cream mask all over my face. 
This mask contains 80ml of 99% pure gold which claims to exfoliate dead skin cells, brighten and improve the elasticity of your skin, resulting to a youthful glow.
I was really excited to use this product. Did a skin testing first-thank God i’m not allergic. The consistency is thick(like condensed milk hahaha).The scent is a bit strong for me, like I can smell a hint of alcohol in it.
Days after, when I opened the canister again, I noticed that the gold ingredient precipitated. So I mixed it using the plastic applicator.
Maybe you are wondering if gold can really do good in our skin. According to Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, a N.Y.C.-based cosmetic dermatologist, Gold is used as an anti-aging ingredient, as it can help reduce inflammation which is a cause of acne and hyperpigmentation. Each jar of PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask contains 80ml of Gold cream! Maybe a jar of this mask could last about 4-5 usage(for me). I had fun with this personal luxury product, my first time to use a product with gold in it. I feel so rich. hahhaha!
Upon application, I find it a bit messy using the plastic applicator since it’s a bit flat and considering that the product is a liquid. But eventually, I was able to apply it without dripping.
Surprisingly, it’s not difficult remove the mask when it dries off. I really let it dry more than 20 minutes. But if you would notice, the edges automaticaly starts to separate from my skin. At first I thought It would kinda stick to my face so hard it would be difficult to remove it. But this one is different. As you pull it off your face, the mask also follows smoothly.
My advice: If you will apply it all over your fave, make sure that you secure your hair. Tie it up to prevent it from sticking on your face with the product.
The aftermath: My skin became soft to touch, and it really brightens. I love it. Worth all the mess hahaha! Will definitely use it again and again to see if it really has skin lifting effect and if it can remove my blackheads/whiteheads.
