Hair extensions. I’ve always wanted to try it eversince I heard about it. I was really curious what would I look like if I have longer hair- longer than my usual length. As far as I remember, the longest length that my hair has ever been was about half of my back. But much as I wanted to let it grow longer, I can’t because of the hot and humid weather here in the Philippines. It is also kinda expensive to maintain a long hair. Just imagine the amount of shampoo and conditioner that I have to use. Plus, getting a treatment in salons will definitely dry out my wallet, since they usually charge by the length.
So what would be my best option to attain that long hair without spending so much on treatments and other hair care products? That would be hair extensions.
And so I got myself one from Amazing Beauty, it is actually an international brand and is not locally available in stores here in the Philippines- so you need to order online. But in my case, Amazing Beauty sent me one of their products for me to try, so I did not go through the ordering process.
The box packaging looks neat. Not too much details on it. It’s actually nice and not cheap looking.

I got myself the 18 inches and 20 inches of #33 (Dark Auburn) which I think the closest to the current color of my hair. Just a bit of information about Amazing Beauty Hair Extensions, Since it is using 100% remy human hair, you can actually color the hair extensions just like your own hair(will try this one once I change my hair color). I also tried using hair iron to straighten it up and it did not burn. Cool right?
THE APPLICATION:
For a beginner like me and with no experience at all when it comes to applying hair extensions, It was kinda challenging. I suggest if you don’t want to waste you precious time and would want to finish applying the hair extensions as quickly as possible, ask somebody to help you or go to your preferred hair stylist.
Applying to the side is easy peasy, but as I move further going to the back, it’s kinda hard to align anymore. I need more practice hahaha. I’ll do better next time.
Tadaaaah! Here’s the BEFORE and AFTER application of the Amazing Beauty Tape In Hair Extensions. I also used hair straightening iron to tone down my wavy hair(which you can see on the first photo). What do you think? not bad for a first timer right? Please say Yes! hahahah!
TIPS:
- Do keep the peeled off white paper adhesive(the one you removed before applying the extensions). You can still use it and put it back on to keep the tape adhesive even after use.
- If you want to add more hair volume using the extensions, use 2 tape ins- stick one on top of the other.
- You can use hair curler or hair straightening tools to style up the extensions according to your hair style preferrence. Don’t worry, it will NOT burn(not unless you’ll leave it on the high heat of your tools)
Overall, it was a very challenging but rewarding experience fo me being able to apply it all by myself. LONGER HAIR ACHIEVED! and I’m loving it!
