When I heard that SM will build a mall near my place, I felt relieved because everything would be a lot easier for me now when it comes to shopping the things that I need for the house, for my dogs and for myself. Aside from that, just in case I get bored I will just walk a few blocks and then I’m there. Now, it is all a reality… SM City San Mateo.
SM City San Mateo may be smaller compared to other SM malls but it is just ok because all the stores that I needed are there like SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, Ace Hardware, Cd-King, National Bookstore, Watsons and many more. 🙂
Another exciting thing is that SM City San Mateo has cinema. Since I’m just near, I can now enjoy even If I choose the last full show time slot.
Last May 14, 2015, I was invited to attend SM City San Mateo Cinema Launch and I was able to experience it firsthand. SM Cinema San Mateo is the third SM Cinema to open in Rizal, following SM City Taytay and SM City Masinag. SM Cinema had previously opened its 50th branch in SM Mega Center, Cabanatuan last April 24. Including San Mateo, SM Cinema counts 285 screens nationwide.
SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc. revealed its latest SM Cinema through a revolutionized ceremony unlike any other. With interactive games, an acapella group, mobile prizes, and the releasing of a giant movie clapper instead of the usual ribbon cutting ceremony, SM Cinema launched their 51st branch with entertainment executives from Viva, Disney, and Warner Brothers.
SM Cinema San Mateo re-introduced “Winema,” which stands for We Interact with the Cinema. A live interactive pre-movie game, Winema is propelled by a motion sensitive camera that is installed inside the theatre. The camera allows movie goers to play a game by waving their hands in the air, left and right, to control the characters in the screen. SM Cinema San Mateo is the only theatre to carry Winema permanently.
With four screens and 308 seats per theatre, SM Cinema San Mateo is equipped with fully digitized movie houses furnished with a crisp digital surround-sound system and crystal clear images to deliver an optimum movie watching experience. SM Cinema also has dedicated area for PWD.
SM Cinema San Mateo will truly give a different kind of cinema experience to movie goers. Will definitely spend a lot of my movie time here. 🙂
