Pioneer Films in cooperation with SM Cinema invited movie goers for the advance screening of “Gone” starring Amanda Seyfried.
As a special treat, SM Cinema and Pioneer Films gave us each passes to the movie and snacks to munch on.

But here’s the spoiler… I will tell the story anyways…. hahahhaha!
The suspense story revolves around “Jill” played by Amanda Seyfried, where initially she was abducted and was able to escape. Few years later, recovering from the trauma and was discharged from a psychiatric facility caused by her abduction, the same thing happened to her sister Molly, portrayed by Emily Wickersham. Jill suspected that the one who abducted her sister was the one who abducted her few years back, thinking that the man came back to get her because she knew his secrets but instead, the man abducted her sister.
Jill tried to report it to the police showing them files about other women who were also abducted by the same man, but they didn’t believe her because they think that she is just making stories since she was previously confined from a psychiatric facility.
Then the search and chasing begins, Jill tried to find her sister all by herself finding leads to track the abductor and her sister,having flashbacks of memories of her abduction, while getting away with the cops who thinks she is a lunatic.
When she finally able to find leads and talk to her sister’s abductor, her sister were able to escape where she was hidden just beneath their house and was seen by the police and her boyfriend. When her sister found out that Jill chased her abductor alone she became furious, got mad that the police didn’t believed her sister blaming the police that if something happen to her sister it would be the police’ fault.
Unaware that her sister was hidden under their house and was able to escape. Jill went on to search her abductor, leading her to the same place where the man hid her when she was abducted. Tried to kill her… But then again he failed. Jill managed to escape by shooting the man with her gun. Jill asked her abducter where her sister is and shoots the man until he finally give up and told her where he hid Jill’s sister. Now helpless due to multiple gunshots, Jill killed her abductor by setting him on fire. And then she went back home finding there her sister and the some police. When the cops ask her where is the abductor, she just said ” He is not real, he is just in my mind”
Comment:
It is just weird on the part that Jill and her abductor were talking on the phone, when the abductor told her that there is no signal service in the area, how come he can make a call? or how come “Jill” can take a call if there’s no signal there in the area.
Overall the movie is just fine, not thrilling enough though. Amanda Seyfried’s acting was good. good expression,you can see in her eyes the fear and agony that her character is going through. So natural.
