Hundreds of fans gathered to watch and show their support last July 26, Thursday, at Trinoma Cinema 2 for the special screening of R-18 version of “The Healing” .
All of the fans of Vilma Santos(all in red shirts) and fans of Kim Chiu(all in black shirt) were very excited to watch the film…
Unfortunately, for the fans of Gov. Vilma Santos, she was’t able to make it because Luis has been sick for days and she have to take care of Luis first. Kim Chiu on the other hand, is present in the special screening.
I was amazed on the fans of Gov. Vilma Santos, most of them are elderly. They remain loyal and has been very supportive to their favorite artist, their idol.
Another thing that catches my attention was Kim Chiu’s fans. They are so excited and looking forward to see their idol. They even have an electronic Fan signage and here’s what it looks like…

SYNOPSIS:
The story of “The Healing” is about different individuals in desperation to be healed that led them to find an alternative way of healing, and that is consulting a “Faith Healer”. “Seth”, portrayed by Vilma Santos has a sick father who got healed after being brought to a faith healer “Manang Elisa”. Seeing this, Seth encouraged her few close friend neighbors and brought them to Manang Elisa including her son’s step sister “Cookie” portrayed by Kim Chiu. But that time, Manang Elisa was sick and weak and refused to take patients as told by the brother of Manang Elisa, but Seth and other few patients who arrived there insisted and begged. Hearing their request, Manang Elisa granted her waiting patient’s request to be seen.
One by one they got healed, but somethings weird is happening. Seth is seeing what they called “doppleganger” which is similar to to that of “evil twin”, and one by one those close friend neighbors starting to die in a very traumatic and violent way affecting those who live close to them. Thinking that it’s not just acoincidence, Seth went back to Manang Elisa’s place and found out that Manang Elisa is dead and was killed by a former patient. This patient is said to be”Alive but should be dead”, this person was supposed to be dead but Manang Elisa prayed and ressurected him from the dead, but now a different being. A bad being who ripped souls from those patients who got healed by Manang Elisa after he was resurrected. According to Manang Elisa’s brother, Manang Elisa shouldn’t have resurrected that person because its against the rules. The only way to stop this curse is to kill doppleganger before they reach and face the person, and to kill the “alive but should be dead being” portrayed by Jhong Hilario.
Now all of Seth’s close friend neighbors are dead, only one is left alive…Cookie. They did everything to protect her and to keep her from meeting her doppleganger but one they they failed to the extent that her son was also plagued and tried to kill her. Luckily, Manang Elisa’s brother portrayed by Joel Torre were able to kill the bad being and stopped the curse.
***I like the character of Seth’s dad played by Simon Ibarra and the character of Pokwang for they give humor in this horror movie. Well, I don’t find the movie that horrifying and scary but the visual effects already improved a lot and the actors were very good.
