What are these 2 new Althea products? Let me introduce to you… Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer, a 10-second easy-to-use wash-off mask suitable for those always on a the go and in a hurry. Yes you read it right! only 10 seconds. This Althea x Get it Beauty product collaboration comes in two variants, ROSE and GREEN TEA.
First, Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose wash-off mask(150ml) contains real premium May Rose Petals hand-picked from Grasse, Southern France. It also contains cleansing ingredients from Coconut extracts which can softly melt down in your skin without irritating it.
Why called May Rose? It’s because this flower only blooms during the month of May for only 5 weeks.
What can May Rose Petals do to your skin?
- It helps balance out the skin’s pH which is 5 times more effectively than normal rose.
- It helps moisturize and gives the skin a rosy radiant glow with rich mineral component.
- It helps to purify and improve blood circulation, ensuring the skin stays revitalized, supple and bright.
If you will look closely on the actual product, you will see traces of real rose petals. It’s actually easy to apply as well. The consistency is gel-like and has that thickly feeling when applied to the face. But it’s ok since it will only sit on your skin just for 10 seconds and you’ll rinse it right away. The smell is very nice. It has a mild floral scent. After I washed it off(it actually kinda took me a while to wash it off my face completely. I suggest remove the excess by wiping it off then wash your face completely with water), I felt that my face was lighter and cleansed. I felt refreshed. It does what it claims-purifies your skin.

The other variant, Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea Wash-off mask(150ml), which contains young Green Tea Leaves straighly harvested from its plantation in Jeju island. Just like the Rose variant, it has cleansing ingredients derived from Coconut extracts. I love it when I use skin care products which uses natural ingredients, it’s milder and non-irritating.
What can Jeju Green Tea leaves do to your skin?
- It contains nourishments that can cleanse and soothe the skin.
- It contains lots of Catechin which has 5 times more vitamin C than a lemon does, making them excellent in protecting the skin from UV damage.
- On its powder form, Jeju green tea can relieve stressed skin real fast by controlling the sebum and purifying the dust on skin
Same as the rose variant, in this product on the other hand, you’ll see traces of the Green tea leaves explaining the color. It also has the same gel-like consistency and it has a very refreshing scent. But wait till you use this wash-off mask at night, it really does cleanse and purify your skin from impurities, excess oil, especially after wearing make-up. Maybe this product in the long run will help prevent or at least lessen my pimple breakouts.
Lastly, I love how Althea and Get it Beauty put some effort in including the “opening date” part at the back of the product. This is to remind its users the exact date and help them track when they opened the product. No more frustrating “I forgot the date I opened the product” dilemma. This happens to me a lot and I ended up throwing the items just to be safe. What a waste right? Now, I will do this “opening date” label thingy to my other beauty stash. Such a good idea!
